getting that flu was awful.
it kicked my ass, wash your hands and run away from anyone who seems sick. you don't need that shit in your life.
came across this quote in a friend's blog.
"When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying."
truer words were never written.
*i just realized i haven't updated this bitch in a month.

big ups to nylon x urban outfitters

around the holidays, urban outfitters teamed up with nylon magazine and gave out a bajillion subscriptions. the february 2008 issue showed up a couple weeks ago and its sweet.
THANKS urbn + nylon.
frontdoor church.
in the last few months, we've had 5 different types of "churches" knock on our door. they always have the same questions for us, "if you were to die today, are you sure you would go to heaven?"
i mean, really. who discusses religious beliefs with strangers at their front door?
religion is so personal, i certainly don't want strangers coming to MY home to preach to me.
is there some sort of federal funding for churches? it has to be about $$$.
almost always, they leave chris or i with a pamphlet with verses and church info.
now why is it that 4 of the 5 churches are located at hotels?
that's some sketchy shit.
LOL

cellphone hits + misses.
cellphone shopping SUCKS.
we spent about 6 hours out and about yesterday trying to wheel and deal cellphone packages for ourselves.
i had already hawked all the carrier sites and ebay so we decided to actually hit up some physical stores.
i guarantee you the best places are the mom & pop shops. the only thing is that they are trying to push carriers on you that you don't want. just walk in and ask if the advertised price is the best they can do for you... if thats the best they can do, just say thanks and be on your way.
place #1 kept pushing verizon wireless. she was going to give me a palm treo 755 and whatever phone chris wanted for free. we didn't want verizon though lol
costco pushes verizon too. they had blackberry pearls for .01 if you signed up with tmobile though.
tmobile store SUCKED. 2 employees and like 10 customers. they only do the advertised price. no wheeling and dealing though i kinda expected that.
place #2 looked very nice on the outside but the chola inside with her drawn eyebrowNs (LOL!) and lip piercing was too ghetto for us. i was waiting for her to break bread with a puff of a joint or something lol their prices were similar to that of the tmobile store.
place #3 was going to wheel and deal me for a blackberry curve (was going to give it to me for $150) but he couldn't let the razr2 go for lower than $149.99 after rebates. then a police officer pulled over a car in front of the store and weirded me out so we left lol
WINNER: walmart. who would have thought they signed up cellphone accounts lol i knew they did the prepaid phones and so did target...
chris got his razr2 v8 for $78.88 with a 2 year contract. sure we had to deal with ALOT of crackhead people interrupting the associate who helped us but it was worth it. his cell is freakin' SPIFFY. i set it up and just WOW. i really want a blackberry curve so i'm still out of a phone...hopefully we can find one in 15 days cause if we don't, his is going back LOL or i'll just have to settle for a razr2.
runner up: letstalk.com - if you have excellent credit, this is the place for you. they have the BEST deals i've ever seen. we don't qualify cause we don't have EXCELLENT credit. after rebates, the blackberry curve is something like $74.99 or $109 (i can't remember.) and some cellphones you actually get money back lol since we went through the whole process and got denied by tmobile not them, they charged our account but are refunding us right now. BUT if you want $25 OFF, comment with your email address and i'll get you the info.
